Evening Bald Eagle

A rare clear blue sky winter evening. The male bald eagle at the Jericho nest site perches in a few different trees catching some rays before flying down to the low tide for a fish dinner.

Flies right over my head, I kind of miss the shot boohoo. The whole world stopped to talk to me on this day, which is always nice but can distract me from my purpose.

Enjoy!

Wild Bald Eagle Eating

Just a short video of the male at the Jericho nest site flying in with some food (a fish I think), note the cheers and oohs & aaahs of a few onlookers who had gathered around my camera. The eagles spends just a couple of minutes eating before flying off again. Guess he was full already!

Enjoy!

Bald Eagle Mates Building Nest

Vancouver, BC Canada -- The wild bald eagles nesting at Jericho Park are very actively rebuilding their nest in preparation for the next round of eagle babies.

The female moves a rather large branch around trying to find the perfect spot. The male flies across the soccer field, sits in a cottonwood tree above NW Marine Dr then flies around for a bit gathering branches from the cottonwoods.

They both sit in the nest for a while, sometimes moving branches about, then the male sits in a branch above the nest. Eventually the female sits in another branch in good view of the camera, then also flies around the cottonwood trees gathering branches.

Enjoy!
